Tight, aggressive, awesomeness.
The only three things needed to describe the Savage Drive. If you're looking for the perfect overdrive to bring your tone some clarity, bite and character then this is it.
Every portion of this pedal has been tweaked for downtuned high gain metal. It's extremely loud, insanely tight, dynamic and aggressive all at the same time. With a huge range available on the Bite knob and having the Dirt knob to add in some grit and compression, this pedal will let some serious demons loose in your amp.
We designed the circuit to offer "more than you need" in the sense that you get the same result lower on the knobs. Frequently turn your tone knob up to full? You won't have to with this one! Diming the volume? No need!
The Tight knob does more than just tighten things up, it actually gives you a warmer, punchy and drier sound on the upper end and a more aggressive and in your face sound on the lower end.
Think of it as a "Tightness Character" control. Keep this in mind as the ultra tight tone you want may not be at the maximum setting of the knob.
All of the controls on the Savage Drive are VERY interactive with each other. There are an enormous amount of tones to be found in this demonic little box. All it takes is just a little summoning.
It's been a few years now and we felt it was time for an update. But it's not what you think! We don't like to do what so many others have done and change the sound of a great pedal for the purpose of making it "better".
So what we've done is add far more advanced power filtering to cut out the whine and squeal of cheap and daisy chained power supply's. We understand that the Savage Drive has found many homes with no other pedals, so it makes sense that not everyone wants to spend as much as the pedal on an isolated power supply. This V3 update brings the noise down on an already low noise overdrive.
Another notable difference is the top mounted jacks. This will save valuable pedalboard space as well as a much cleaner look.
